Stress lowers your immunity leaving you vulnerable to getting sick more often. You probably create stress when you feel like you are coming down with the flu or a cold.
Did you ever stop to think that worrying about how you are going to pay all your bills or lose the weight you know you need to lose impacts your every day health too?
The more you worry about something the bigger that something looms in your life. You become obsessed with thinking about that something all the time. You even wake up in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep because that thought keeps racing around in your head.
Here is the thing – it is just a thought. And you are the one who made up that thought. In fact you created the fear that continues to feed that thought.
What happens when you feed a monster? It grows into a bigger monster, right?
Stop and ask yourself if what you are thinking is possible. Next ask if that something comes to pass in your life what is the worst possible outcome for you? Chances are even the worst scenario can turn into a gift for you – when you learn to look at life that way.
Sure, life does not have to be a struggle yet somehow you refuse to learn your lessons until the Universe gets in your face with whatever you chose to ignore.
What do I mean?
You came here to learn soul lessons so you can grow on a spiritual level. The Universe sets up small obstacles on your path so you can easily learn those lessons.
If you are like most people you walk around those problems, pretending they do not exist. You act as though you do not even see them. If we do see them then you fail to acknowledge them as problems.
So the Universe presents the same issue in the form of a different person and situation – different in appearance but identical issue – for you to resolve. Again, you walk around the problem.
So the Universe presents the problem in a more pressing form – over and over again, each time creating more and bigger obstacles until finally you cannot get over, under or around the problem.
Your only choice is to burst through it and resolve the issue you have long ignored.
Once you resolve the issues that cause you stress you will not need to struggle. The Universe will no longer assist your lesson as you already figured it out.
In other words your life will shift into one of low stress that, when it comes up, you will know to clear the issue immediately instead of waiting for the Universe to create a series of unpleasant events.
Stress happens when you interpret events as causing you unnerving discomfort. Obviously such a feeling makes you want to stop it from repeating itself.
Observe this BIG clue about how to end stress: stop trying to eliminate stress. You cannot accomplish when you try. Try allows for the possibility of not succeeding.
So right off the bat, remove the word try from your vocabulary to allow yourself the true opportunity to succeed in eliminating the stress.
Realize that whatever you focus on expands in your life. What do you do when you work at removing something, like stress, from your life? Even if you work really hard at something what you really do is magnify it in your life. Your attention feeds it.
How can you eliminate something by helping it to grow bigger and more pronounced?
Obviously you can’t. So the way to eliminate stress is not by trying, not by working at it and certainly not by thinking about it all the time—something you call worry.
Most people think that when you worry about something you are actually doing something about it. Are you kidding? How does worry serve any purpose at all except to raise your stress level, create anxiety and cause physical symptoms in you as your subconscious mind puts you through the scenario that you are imagining!
Your subconscious cannot tell when you really live an event versus when you imagine an event happening.
Ah – now take that last sentence as your clue. What?
You want to eliminate the stress you experience. You know your subconscious mind makes real anything you imagine. Therefore, if you create a scenario in which you do not experience stress (even though, in the past you did feel very stressed in this same circumstance) then you succeed in removing the stress from that very event.
One powerful way to make that happen is to picture yourself entering the situation you want to change. And you can only change yourself. So no one else will act differently (well, probably not).
So now you see the picture of yourself in that same formerly stressful event only this time you act differently. You see the entire situation in a new light, from a different perspective. You cannot even figure out why you used to feel stressed at such times.
You can watch yourself, as though you are watching a movie – the first time. But next time, and every time after that, actually step into the situation and look out through your eyes. Hear what you will hear through your ears. Feel what you feel and touch and smell what you will feel, touch and smell.
Remember that your subconscious is making all of this real for you.
Victory. Your subconscious mind will become convinced that, in that situation, you act this new way. And the next time that situation comes up you remember to consciously step into this new way of behaving and you will no longer feel stressed – even though nothing about the situation itself changed.
All that changed is how you feel about it and the actions you take that let you feel differently.
Sometimes stress appears seemingly out of the blue in forms so violent you are taken aback and temporarily at a loss as to how to respond. Well, hopefully you are looking for the response and did not simply react and feed a fire possibly blowing it up into an uncontainable wildfire.
You see that kind of thing in politics and business, usually perpetrated by someone in a feeble attempt to eliminate tough competition.
The world of competition will always produce stress without benefiting anyone – not in the big picture. Greedy people eventually get back the poison they put out. Fact: you get what you give in this energy Universe where we are all connected as One.
Well, if someone attacks you platitudes will not resolve the issue. SO what will?
If someone says something in a public forum, unfortunately, the attacked person it put in place of defending and proving themselves innocent. Makes no sense, does it? Somehow most people believe what they see in the media.
Most people fail to stop and think about the fact that the media only sells bad news. When did you last buy a paper or tune into a radio or television station to listen to the happy news?
So how can you turn a stressful, probably untruthful attack, around and go on with your life?
Maybe you do not need to turn it around. May be the act of acknowledging the untruth feeds it energy to help it stay in the forefront of the public eye.
What you do not feed withers away and dies.
What if you send love to whoever started the rumor? What if you sent love to that person every time you think of it all day long?
Could a person who loves, honors and respects himself deliberately lash out with the sole intention of hurting another person?
People who hurt others and judge others lack love. They lack good feelings about themselves. They tend to have poor self images (even if they seem to be successful) they can have pitifully poor self images and extremely low self esteem and self confidence.
People who know how great they are never need to tell others that fact. They go about their lives without any need to pit down another person or brag about their own accomplishments.
People always turn up in your world as you expect to see them and also in the form, presenting the behaviors you accept as being their way. When you take them out of the box into which you placed them they will become the person who behaves the way you wish them to be.
Do you really want to get back at someone who hurt you or would rather turn them into an ally?
Nobody wants to live under stressful conditions. Then why don’t people take the actions they know to take to eliminate the stress in their lives?
These five biggest reasons people stay stuck in stress.
1. People become addicted to their emotions. In fact they identify with their stress-filled lives. Often they wear that overwhelm like a badge on their sleeve!
For those people feeling like a hero becomes a powerful motivating factor in continuing to keep high pressure circumstances in their world. Their family and friends tend to feed their illusion (or maybe it is more properly a delusion) of being such a great person, a true martyr sacrificing their possibly comfortable life to provide more for their family.
2. They see the stress looming as an unconquerable giant before their eyes. By focusing on their problems they make them so big that they no longer see anything in their world beyond that painful circumstance.
You cannot focus on both something good and something bad at the same time. Most people grab hold of the bad view that fits into their comfort zone.
Of course everything is just an interpretation of a meaningless event so nothing is inherently good or bad.
.
3. Most people buy into the huge energy thought form that states stress is not only an inevitable part of life but also a necessary part. Those people explain that good stress (as they call it) acts as a great motivator to get things done in life.
There is no such thing as good stress. All stress damages your physical, mental and spiritual health and well being.
4. People fear the unknown. Living with stress may feel awful. However, it is a way of life they find familiar. Taking a new action, stepping outside the box they call home, appears terribly scary for them.
For most people stretching their comfort zone by taking on new behaviors and beliefs threatens them to their core. Staying in their current life seems reasonable and safe.
5. The brain and mind serve to discourage people from taking new actions. The job of the mind and brain is to keep people safe. How do they accomplish that end? They send messages that tell you not to take risks. In fact, you hear those messages pretty much all the time in the persona of a Little Voice that lives in your head.
Right now that Little Voice is telling you to stop reading because I must be nuts if I have a Little Voice that talks to me.
Hear it?
Those messages applied, perhaps, when you were a child or in some truly dangerous situation. However, they no longer serve you – except to keep you inside your limiting box that defines your life by holding stress over you as a threat that must surely come with a life style change.
So what are you going to eliminate stress from your world? Are you willing to step out of your comfort zone right now before you change your mind?
How do you know when you are under stress? What signs do you watch for so you can remedy the situation and stay healthy?
Stress affects every living creature – yes, even plants. On the surface it appears to affect each person differently.
Yes, remedy the situation and stay healthy. There is no such thing as good stress. Like criticism – none of it serves you in any way, shape or form.
What?
You think stress motivates you to get work done or succeed at some goal you set that you really wonder whether or not you can achieve it?
Stress steals energy from your daily functioning. It usurps energy that your organ systems need.
What do you think happens if your organs fail to get the energy they need to function normally? What do you think happens when your brain takes all the water from those systems to meet the hydration need that stress creates in running your entire body?
Stress dehydrates you. It sucks the water right out of your cells. That is why you feel fatigued when under stress. Your cells, and therefore your organs, cannot function naturally when they suffer a water shortage.
When organs fail to function optimally they shut down – little by little they perform less and less of their daily tasks.
Where does impaired functioning leave you?
What do you think?
How long do you think you can live a healthy life without fully operating organ systems?
Most people today suffer from adrenal fatigue. When you experience stress your adrenals kick in to “save the day” by releasing cortisol into your system. That hormone prepares your body for the flight or fight ancient man experienced in daily life.
What do you suppose happens when you interpret much of your daily events as stressful? The adrenals push to provide that cortisol repeatedly. Finally your adrenals shut down.
Many people walk around today without properly functioning adrenals.
When the adrenals cannot function the next major organ to suffer is the thyroid Without adrenal support the thyroid cannot keep up with its demand and it too will slow down and even stop.
For that reason so may people today walk around with low thyroid – and may not even know it until their thyroid shuts off completely and symptoms cause them to see the doctor. The thing is, some thyroid symptoms become irreversible – or at least they do in the paradigm of modern medicine.
The only way to maintain your health is to recognize when you feel stress and stop it immediately. Analyze the situation and come up with a solution that relieves the stress.
Your stress comes from how you interpret events. Change your interpretation and the stress disappears instantly.
