Happiness Gets Limited When You Look For Something

You limit your happiness when you look for certain things as opposed to leaving yourself open to experience whatever comes to you or comes to you for your fun and learning.

And you also limit others, specifically who they can be for you, when you put people in boxes expecting only their past behaviors to always be their only behaviors. Don’t worry though. They do the same to you. (Touch of sarcasm there.)

When I was a substitute teacher I did not see the kids the way their regular classroom teacher did. The teacher usually left a list of the behavioral problem kids.

What a nasty habit – leading the substitute teacher to experience the child as a problem without even knowing the child in a neutral light. What do you think the average substitute teacher would see in the behaviors of the names on such a list?

No wonder kids lived up to those labels of being a problem kid!
When I saw those list the first thing I did was indirectly choose those kids to be my helpers for the day. I asked them to hand out papers, erase the blackboard (yes, we had those back then.)

I chose to see the child not the label. And what you expect is always what you will see – always.

Do you think I had problems with those students on those lists? All they needed was the extra attention. My guess is they could not get that attention at home or any place in a positive way so they did what they had to do to get people to acknowledge their existence by acting out. Plain and simple.

In fact, I have long thought that anyone who does anything less than nice lacks love in their world. They certainly have no self love and no one gives them what every human has a right to receive – love.

What if I had, instead, chosen to see those kids as trouble makers? How do you think they would have behaved for me? Duh. And why would that happen?

When you look for certain behaviors you find them – to the omission of all other behaviors. So, for their regular teachers who only saw them in the light of being behavior problems, those kids, no matter how often they acted in nice helpful ways, didn’t stand a chance of being noticed or praised for the new ways of acting.

Here is the thing to watch out for…

Yes, you do that same thing to everyone in your world. I think you caught my drift on that point. And now you know what to do, right? Release your expectations for how others will act around you.

But the point I want to drive home here is that you do the same to yourself!

Huh?

You expect yourself to behave the same way in certain circumstances therefore what do you do when you find yourself in those circumstances? You act as expected by you!

No one does anything to you to make you act that certain way. You do it all by yourself.
Choose a new way to act and you will be happier.

For instance, I used to be painfully shy. When I went to classes or parties I kept to myself and waited for others to talk to me. When I realized how I behaved I decided to talk to tier people first. Every time I did the shyness decreased until I quickly (Yes. Quickly.) was no longer shy at all.

Habits: How To Replace Bad Habits With Good Habits

If all you do is stop a bad habit you leave yourself open to start a new bad habit. The default process replaces bad with bad which also means it replaces good with good.

When you stop a bad habit you must consciously replace it with a good new habit. Make the effort to replace bad with good. Use correctly formed and worded affirmations – all very complex not simply as you often see most gurus teach. They leave out most of the essential parts. Then people wonder why they fail to manifest what they speak in the affirmations every morning and every night and paste up on their vision boards.

Affirmations, as taught by most gurus, leave out key pieces – it’s one of my soapboxes. You can find details in many other articles and programs I created because there is so very much to know. Affirmations do work—100% of the time. You are living all your affirmations, made unconsciously, right now!

Back to forming habits…

Be Persistent and consistent using your new affirmations and behaviors for 28 days. And make sure your affirmations have a Personal Meaning Quotient (PMQ is a method I created to evaluate your affirmations and goals) at 100. With a Personal Meaning Quotient of 100 there is NO WAY you do not manifest them. Anything less than 100 may or may not happen.

Now I realize that most of the people who read this information will not use it. You see, people pay lots of lip service to making life changes but few take any action to make it happen.

Why?

Most people are lazy – physically and emotionally lazy. They want instant gratification. They want change NOW and they do not want to make the effort, to expend the energy, or to experience their emotions.

Look at all the people in unhappy relationships.  Yet they stay in that deep hurt rather than take the steps to end it. They do not want to go through the pain and the action it takes to create a new life by ending the known life.

The other reason few people actually change is because it takes lots of energy to think accurately: to think and live in the reality of things rather than living with the appearances of the world and things. The fact is that 2% of people actually think. 3% think they think and 95% of people would rather die than think!

Stop a moment. Notice when most people want to make a decision they go to their neighbors, their family, their friends – for advice. Are those people experts in the field? NO! It would take work to seek out expert advice from many sources, to educate oneself and make a wise choice.

You gotta invest time, energy and effort to reap desired results.

People are afraid of change. They’d rather stay stuck in the misnomer comfort zone—really your know zone.

I think it is way more scary to look forward to a lifetime that looks as it does now–seeing as how you are here looking to make changes I assume you are not living your dreams – yet.

Make the effort to create the habits that put living your desired life on automatic. You have the next 28 days to make it happen.

The question is, will you DO it?

Can you imagine writing 700 articles, averaging 500 words each, in six months? Well, I surprised myself .Just coming up with that many topics on the subject of happiness and how you create your reality – of course that includes health and spirituality – phew!

Now I am going to take a break from article writing to produce some home study and coaching courses. My specific focus is health especially eating as it relates to body shape and optimal health and back pain and other pain issues.

I also created and am expanding my relationship courses. Of course everything works together to contribute to your happiness or the lack thereof.
