I learned a good way to stop—or prevent—arguments.
Did you ever notice it takes at least two people to argue? If someone tries to lure you into a fight simply refuse to participate. When you do not fight back the other person will at first feel very frustrated and maybe even angrier than before. And then they have to stop the fight because no one is fighting back.
The very valuable lesson in this method is to note all the things the angry person yells at you. Take mental notes of everything for which he blames you. What he reveals with his outburst is exactly what is really going on inside him.
The Addmas Family opens Thursday on Broadway. Here is a snippet from the show. Listen for the drumset and conga–that is my son, Damien, playing.
When you live in happiness you lose the need to argue or fight. How does that happen? When you feel good about yourself you also feel good about your world. In fact, you love yourself and you love others.
Living in happiness means seeing the good in everything and everyone. When you see the Divine Being in each person then you realize the connection, the All-Is-One on this planet. To feel anger toward another ultimately directs that feeling back at you. Why would you want to create that misery in your life?
When I work with people on a 1:1 basis, I start out by looking at their values and priorities using my teachnique VPD. Next step is formulating goals and affirmations that work (as opposed to how most gurus teach them) using my teachnique Personal Meaning Quotient (PMQ).
You then need a way to measure your happiness level so you can tell when you feel better and your life works more easily. To accomplish that end I developed the Personal Happiness Quotient (PHQ) which, basically, is a way to measure your level of happiness across your life.
Sometimes we fail to see our forward progress because it happens incrementally day by day. Others, who only see us occasionally notice the difference. When we can see that difference ourselves, without outside input then we create automatic motivation to propel us through each day.
I find it so interesting that the psychology of happiness duplicates what I have long known intuitively. Not only has 20 years of research into the study of happiness confirmed all I personally discovered about happiness, it also explains that knowledge as functions of the human brain.
Hmm.
Metaphysics, philosophy, religion and science all say the same thing using slightly different terms. What I know, from my own life experience, is my direct connection to my Spirit and Source (God, the Universe, whatever term or name you use to describe that single force of life-giving energy) lets me know all I need to so my life flows easily and comfortably.
On this blog I will share what I do every day (now confirmed by psychologists and medical docs as being effective) what works for me and will work for you because, bottom line, this info channels into and through me from the Highest Source, the All-Is-One.
May seem odd to start here but hey, I think this may be the single most important piece to creating the life of your dreams. Before you fall asleep each night thank Source for at least three things or people you experienced that day. I also suggest living each moment in gratitude for every little thing in your life. I will go into that another day.) At a minimum list three things and speak them aloud.
The fastest way to living Your Very Excellent Life is seeing and feeling grateful for all you have and all you do not have (like illness or injury, poverty or violence, etc) in your life.
